Waymark IN A NUTSHELL
Waymark is an IT consulting company based in Stockholm. We were founded in 2007 and are since 2019 a part of the publicly listed company Time People Group.
Working as a consultant in today's modern and complex IT society entails great challenges when it comes to making the right decisions regarding various conceivable path choices. It's a bit like navigating difficult terrain. Sometimes the right choice is to follow a previously trodden path. At other times, innovative thinking and courage by pointing out alternative and more unknown paths to the goal can be the best solution. As consultants at Waymark, we can both follow proven path choices as well as stake out new ones.

What WE OFFER
Our consultants are almost exclusively full-stack developers but with a focus on front-end or back-end. We simply believe that the front-end code will maintain higher quality if you also have an understanding of the back-end. Of course, the reverse also applies. We act in different roles such as frontend lead, backend lead, FE/BE developers, IT architects and scrum masters. Common to all roles is that you actually always code. We almost always work in modern operating environments that are often cloud-base.
Frontend
We work with microfrontends, we work with server-rendered frontends, we work headless, we work with the most common frameworks such as React, Angular+ and Vue. We work with Typescript, Redux, Remix and we work with PWA to name a few "buzzwords" we come into contact with out there with our customers.
Backend
Sometimes it's about middle layers like backend-for-frontend and sometimes it's about more traditional backends. The programming language is always Java combined with some framework. It can be the Spring family or frameworks that support the Jakarta EE standard. The main part of the backend code concerns business-related features, but not infrequently it is also about issues such as security, scalability, reliability.
IT architecture
IT architecture is about structure for the solution to a problem. Business-related IT architecture and Technical IT architecture are often distinguished. We work with both parts and often at the same time, and we always participate in the implementation itself.
about our educations
On behalf of Dataföreningen Kompetens (DFK), we run two training courses, or schools as DFK calls them. Both are structured in similar ways and both lead to a DFK certificate. Our task is to ensure that the criteria for obtaining a certificate are met. It consists of a number of questions that the participants must answer and we as supervisors must correct and comment on. Furthermore, the certification process is covered by a larger homework in the form of an essay (similar to a C essay in format). Essay work must be supervised, exposed to opposition and presented In addition to the supervision itself, Waymark is also responsible for course management, course planning and quality follow-up.
